Why the last-minute butt cleavage? I’m way more interested in the front of her costume than of the back.
Looking at this, though, I realise that I was never that accurate drawing her—not if those panty lines are accurate. I drew a flatter, more modest (ha!) leg than second from the right. Definitely her bodice, too. I ignored most of the times it looked like a bird. I am clearly a Perez fangirl through and through.
It’s kind of a shame that it’s so iconic that it shrugs off attempts to update it, but then again—iconic. I will go with that, in this scenario (I’m kind of a sucker for Ororo’s first costume, but at least there is her second costume as balm on the sting).
I’m bouncing from site to site to cite the image, and I’m encountering some inexplicable stuff. For instance, inasmuch as I too do not like the outfit far left, this makes no sense:

The 60’s were not a good time in fashion history. It was a time of bell-bottoms and disco. Even our Amazonian goddess wasn’t impervious to its effects. In 1968 Wonder Woman issue #178 had Diana Prince go Mod. She wore a variety of “hip” clothing. That’s right go-go boots, jumpers, mini skirts, shift dresses, rain trench coats and the superhero classic, tights.

Children these days, I swear. Do they not understand the allure of vintage? Is there no eBay where they live?

Hace falta mucho coraje para salir a la calle con éste calor. Mucho, mucho coraje.

The Warrior princess, por Dan Dos Santos.

The second thing you think is Judge Dredd, though, right?

My brain keeps wanting to parse this as Donna Troy, but I’ll tell it to shut up. In the meanwhile; TOTALLY BADASS WONDER BITCH WHOOHAH!—art by ~RNZZZ

Whose bike is that? Had Wondie been riding it? If so, was she barefoot and wearing that helmet over her tiara? Is she wearing sweatbands under her cuffs? Man, I like the gold toned cuffs the best…

OMG, whatever’s holding that top up must be blessed by all the gods. I’d be so nervous! Hey—maybe it’s John Stewart’s willpower!

But if I don’t know what comic they come from, how can I partake of the bantery goodness myself? Off to google reverse image search, I guess.

JLA #4…bingo!

I’m wearing my Doctor Who earrings today, by the way. Don’t tell anyone, because thematically they clash with the Wonder Woman bracelet. But, really, if you could see the top I’m wearing, you’d understand how I’m pulling it all together. It works, for true.
