What I love most about this scene is that Sam moves straight to physically calming Dean down without criticising the scope of his reaction. However relatively unaffected he is by the situation (he only loves the car with a little ell), he knows it’s entirely real for Dean, and telling him it should matter less would be counter-productive.

Jess is not small. She is not petite. She is not tiny. Adrianne Paliicki is no shorter than 5’10 in her bare feet. In heels, she’s probably at least eye to eye with Dean. Taller than Cas (uh, who’s not so much smaller than Dean that t-shirts are going to hang off him—have you seen t-shirts?). If you tell me Sam is with his petite blonde girlfriend, I’m assuming Meg or Ruby #1. They are small. Palicki is an Amazon.
My name is uncommon. You know what no one has done to my face? Said “ita—that’s a weird name!” or “what was up with your parents?” or any of the contentious meet cutes Dean always gives Castiel. Is that really what’s going through your mind when you say “that’s different!” or “what does that mean?” It’s a peculiar agreement fandom has come to with regards to AUs.
Oh! Three things—when have we been told Ellen is a master cook? These fics were before the Titanic got unsunk, and even then—Roadhouse, epitome of diner cuisine, often with great pies, because….I don’t know why. Let’s make Bobby a master cook next time.
Sam is more shocked about Dean’s gun going poof than his own. Tells us how much he always counts on his big brother to shoot the bad guys while he’s being strangled somewhere in a corner.
I love paying attention to their eyelines. I find Misha’s most fascinating, but they’re all really good about their own in-character focus. Castiel’s the most obvious, because of reasons, and Dean does have a tendency to stare into space, but that’s his character(’s despair) note itself.
Also this is ridic hypnotic.

I got this doujin from a stall at the South Korean bi-monthly anime/manga convention in Seoul. Supernatural is a niche, but lovable fandom over there which is every bit as linked with the emerging X-men: First Class, Sherlock, and Doctor Who fandoms as it is overseas.

And is still trying to fix shit, from this most recent mistake and the original faulty judgement, and prioritises that over Dean’s pique?
That was the season I watched, anyway. I like my season.
