I’m not sure how I feel about this. Yes, every star ever has been prepped with something to pander to the demographics they need to build. Your stud beefcake is sensitive, an expert in Hong Kong action or French black and white or soccer as required, just as some female hot actresses are going to have their Angry Birds (is that still the thing?) obsession twisted into something that gets the geek vote.
And then, of course, some of them *have* been doing this shit the whole time. Others just discovered it last year. Much like, I hear, humans. Why not? Don’t geeks get to have sexy movie stars too? Why wouldn’t we?
