So this is the first season that both of the boys survived the finale
Except for S1 (both alive, though Dean was critical) and S2 (both alive, together, revitalised on their mission), S4 (both alive, together, and confused about the last seal), S5 (Sam didn’t die, he went to Hell alive), or S6 (together, wondering what to do about Godstiel), or S7 (Dean didn’t die to get into Purgatory, he was transported there).
Sometimes I don’t feel I watch the same show Tumblr does….

Remember when the show said Cas thought he should die because of what he did? And then he went to great lengths to try and atone at the same time he was exploited? And is still trying to fix shit, from this most recent mistake and the original faulty judgement, and prioritises that over Dean’s pique?
That was the season I watched, anyway. I like my season.

Misha’s still recurring (for the few episodes) next year, right? And separation is the #1 favourite thing for the writers to leave us with?
So…yeah, Cas and Dean might not spend the Hell/Heavenatus together. But unless he gets his fully independent yet still in the same time slot spinoff next season, Dean+Castiel is hardly done.
Though that would be really funny—to have Cas and Dean always just miss each other for all of season 9. Sam would be all “He was just here! I don’t know what happened…”

That’s three different shirts, though. And, yes, Dean wore Sam’s shirt in Lazarus Rising. But John’s shirt doesn’t have flaps on the pockets, and the plaid isn’t diagonal on the placket. Misha’s does have those two details, but it’s a different plaid.
